IDC signed a MOU with the Human Resources Development Fund

IDC at the Jubail Technical Institute and Human Resources Development Fund (HADF) signed a MOU to support program owners of small enterprises, the Centre was represented at the signing Eng. Abdel Rahman Bin Said Al Dosari director of Jubail Technical Institute, while (HADF) was represented at the signing Director of the Office Human Resources Development Fund at the Jubail Governorate, Mr. Musaad Bin Hamad Al.Maglowth, in the framework of joint cooperation between the Fund and the Centre to support entrepreneurs. .

Closing Ceremony Of Short Course For SABIC Conducted

JTI held a ceremony marking the end of a week-long crash course for the SABIC trainees in Gear Boxes. Deputy of education and training affairs, gave away the certificates to the trainees, and appreciated the trainees and the training staff for the successful completion of the course.

Hassan Al- Takroni (2920124), member of JTI Toastmasters Club, won the First place in the Area level ‘Humorous Speech Contest’ held on Friday 27th Rabi’ II, (1st April, 2011) between 2:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at Kemya beach camp, Jubail Industrial City. Six seasoned toastmasters representing six clubs (three community clubs and three corporate clubs) participated in this contest. Hassan made history by defeating all of them. His wonderful performance has become the talk of the town since then. Hats off to Hassan Takroni.

The other contestants, who participated in the International Speech and Impromptu Speech Contests, were Ibrahim Bannay and Abdullah Jassem. They also did a brilliant job.

The target speaker for the Evaluation Contest was Abdullah Bataah who was evaluated by six contestants. The faculty members who were present at the seven-hour-long contest, encouraging JTI club members, included Asif Ali Khan, James Victor, Asif Ali Rajput, Nasir Ali, Asrar Ahmed, Dr. George and Dr. Malik.

JTI participates in GCC skills competition representing Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Industrial Welding Skill. A team consists of Turki AlDossari (competitor), Eng. Abdullah Fahad AlHuzaim (Expert) and Eng. Mohammad Nasser AlQahtani (observer).

JTI Team achieved the second place in the competition and the silver medal after the Omani team who got the first place and the golden medal with a close total of points. The team planning to participate in the world skills competition in UK October 2011 after having an experience in the skills competitions since the team got the first place in the first GCC skill in UAE 2009.

JTI director Eng. Abdulrahman AlDossari met and honored JTI team in his office on Saturday 26 of March 2011.

JTI held in collaboration with the center of educational services in Royal Commission in Community service entitled ( Maintenance of Cars Air-Conditioning) for 4 days during a rate of 3 hours per day, and has participated in this course training 13 trainees.

At the end of this session have been distributed certificates to the participants who expressed their gratitude for the skills acquired during this period, hoping to gain more of these courses in the future.

His Excellency General Manager of Colleges and Institutes in Royal Commission for Jubail Dr. Ali bin Hassan Asiri, with presence of JTI Director Eng. Abdulrahman bin Saeed Al-Dossary, held two meetings with JTI students.

The first meeting was with preparatory year students on Saturday 12/03/2011, and the other meeting was held with the specialization year students on Sunday 13/03/2011 in MPH. The both meetings discussed needs and questions of the students.

A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed on Wednesday 23, February 2011 between Jubail Technical Institute (JTI) and Four Hands General Construction and Trading EST, the representative of HeviCert USA for collaboration in the field of Technical Training in operating cranes and heavy equipment.

JTI was Represented by Eng. ‎Abdulrahman Al- Dossary, Director of the institute, while Four Hands General Construction and Trading Establishment was Represented by Mr. Husain Althaiban, General Manager.

Saudi Aramco offers employment for JTI graduates in the skills of Instrumentation and Control, PC & Network Support, and Network Administration as one year program (VCGNE). The program is consists of technical and Business fields.

It should also be noted that the graduates from other skills in JTI already can apply for direct recruitment in Saudi Aramco.

JTI, through its department of Computer and Information Technology Skills, has inked a deal with international test provider Pearson VUE to be among its test centers around the world for information technology-related examinations.

Pearson VUE (www.pearsonvue.com) is the global leader in computer-based testing for information technology, academic, government and professional testing programmes around the world. Pearson VUE provides a full suite of services from test development to data management, and delivers exams through the world’s most comprehensive and secure network of test centers in 165 countries.

Through this agreement and cooperation it will be easier for the institute's specialized students in IT and other professionals within Jubail Industrial City to register and sit for international certification exams.

As a Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center (PVTC), JTI will provide on-site, on-demand tests for Adobe, Cisco Systems, CompTIA , Linux Professional Institute, Novell, Oracle, PostgreSQL CE (SRA OSS), Red Hat, SAP, and SPSS, among others.

JTI Karate Club, representing the Royal Commission of Jubail, has participated in Championship of commissions and institutions held in Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports Hall in Malaz, Riyadh. JTI youth have harnessed all GOLD MEDALS in Kata and Kumite competitions for individuals and teams. JTI Karate Club has Achived the first position in the overall standings in the championship outscoring established organizations such as the Royal Navy and King Saud University.

On this occasion, JTI has honored the Karate champions and their Trainer and celebrated this tremendous achievement. The celebration was attended by HE the Director of the Institute and the Deputy for Education and Training affairs and a number of department heads and supervisors.

Under the patronage of his Excellency General Manager of colleges and institutes Dr. Ali Bin Hassan Asiri, and with presence of a number of sector officials, Jubail Technical Institute held on Sunday 02/01/2011 in RC beach camp, a ceremony on the occasion of getting the recognition for all Training Programs offered by JTI with approval of His Excellency, Minister of Civil Services. During the ceremony, a number of colleagues were also honored to appreciate their contribution in this achievement.

A community service training course provided by Jubail Technical Institute ended successfully Tue. 2/11/2010. The course in Automotive Maintenance was offered for Educational Services Center of the Department of Educational Services in the Royal Commission for Jubail.
Engineers from different companies, teachers, and RC employees have attended the course. The participants have expressed their satisfaction with the quality level at which the course was given.

JTI's Director; Mr. Abdul Rahman Al-Dossary and Mr. Khalaf Al-Shemmari; Head of students Affairs in the Educational Services Department have handed out the course completion certificates to the participants.

In this morning the facts of the hypothesis of evacuation workshops of the Institute was held in workshop 7 (Welding Workshop), in Collaboration with industrial Security, fire brigade and Royal Commission Hospital. Where the training included how the concerned authorities response in case of fire and knowing the procedures and evacuation routes and safety guidelines to be followed and observed in such cases and the assembly points.

A delegation of members of the Supreme Council for the development of colleges and institutes has visited JTI on Tuesday, 19.10.1431H. The delegation was received by His Excellency, the Director of the Institute Engineer / Abdulrahman bin Saeed Al Dossary, and the deputy of JTI for Educational Affairs, Dr. / Malik bin Mohammed Ahmed, in addition to a number of academic departments and administrative heads. During the visit, the delegation has done a field tour of the workshops of the Institute, had a detailed explanation and sufficient information for the workshops and the modern and advanced equipment. Contributed in the preparation of national cadres specialized and appearance, commensurate with the needs of the environment of modern industrial and labor market in the Kingdom.

 On Saturday 25/09/2010 The introduction Meeting was conducted with the new students of JTI by the present of the director engineer Abdurrahman Al-Dosari , the deputy of education and training affairs Dr. Malik, the students affairs section head Mr. Fahd Al-Rajeh and the industrial relationships section head Mr.Saad Al-Dosari at 9:00 a.m . During the meeting , it has been given an overview of definition for Jubail Technical Institute and the services provided to students during the study . After that, the students were allowed to ask questions and participate in the discussion..

A milestone in support to entrepreneurs & SME’s at Eastern province !!

On Sunday, June 27th 2010, the Industrial Development Center ( IDC) represented by Eng. Abdullah M. Al Ahmari & Al Sharqia Chamber of Commerce which represented by Mr. Adnan Al Naim signed a memorandum of understanding. This MOU is considered as an indication to the start of cooperation between (IDC) & Al Sharqia chamber which will result in providing entrepreneurs with Technical / administrative support by hosting regular training programs for the next three years.

IDC is one of JTI ( Jubail Technical Institute) divisions which is concerned in providing a designed programs to accelerate the successful development of entrepreneurial technical companies through an array of business support & services.

Eng. Abdullah bin Mohammed Ahmari, Director of Jubail Technical Institute, advised that such initiative is considered as valuable opportunity to boost the relationship between Educational / training sector & Al Sharqia Chamber which will result in providing entrepreneurs whom operate in technical fields with well based services.

In his role, Mr. Adnan M. Al Naim (secretary general of Al Sharqia Chamber) advised that Al sharqia is keen on building cooperation with JTI due to its vast reputation as premium service provider to Technical / vocational training as well as good place to provide highly skilled national workforce.

The scope of MOU is chiefly focused on the provision of administrative consultations, training & financial services , logistic support to each project. In addition to that, it does enable Al Sharqia Chamber to utilize JTI premises to organize regular training event which target entrepreneurs within Jubail city.

The signatory ceremony was attended by Adel Al Sarami (assistant to secretary general for economical affairs), Dr. Nabil Shalaby ( Manager for Al Sharqia SMES) , Mr. Saad S. Al Dossary ( acting section head – Industrial relations) Mr. Ali O. Al Sanad ( Supervisor – IDC).

Under the patronage of His Excellency General Manager of colleges and institutes of the Royal Commission in Jubail, Dr. Ali Bin Hassan Asiri and the presence of officials of the Royal Commission and the heads of government departments, companies and business and industry, Open House began last Monday 14/6/2010 and continues for three days in Jubail Technical Institute of the Royal Commission (JTI).

JTI is seeking, through the Open House, to show visitors several things including: the role JTI plays in the qualification and training young Saudis, JTI’s training programs and disciplines, skills provided by students of JTI. In addition, JTI seeks to let visitors watch student activities and their impact on refining the skills of students, and to watch technical equipments serving the training process. This event also aims to build the communication and networking system between JTI and industrial companies to introduce the Institute and to improve output, as well as familiarizing students with various stages of education disciplines and areas of training institute and watch some of the projects and practical exercises carried out by students.

Director of JTI, Engineer Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Ahmari said that the JTI looks forward to actively contributing to meeting the needs of the labor market in the industrial field of Saudi youth training, and to the participation of educational institutions in the development of human resources for the productive sectors in line with the directives of officials of the Royal Commission and are keen to provide and facilitate all the possibilities to serve the citizens and industry, which requires intensive efforts to reach global standards.

Yesterday, His Highness Prince Saud bin Abdullah Ibn Thunayan Al-Saud, the Chairman of Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu, visited the site of the Industrial Development Center (IDC) at Jubail Technical Institute (JTI). His Highness accompanied by Dr. Musleh Al-Otaibi, the Chief Executive Officer of Royal Commission in Jubail and a number of Royal Commission officers. The director of JTI Eng. Abdullah Al-Ahmari welcomed his Highness and his delegation, and guided them to the site.

His Highness inspected the workflow of IDC buildings and workshops and was given a brief guided tour of the IDC site progress. His Highness expressed his satisfaction with the project, and urged everyone to embark on the work of IDC entrusted to it as a role of community service.

His highness visit came after the Inauguration of IDC on Sunday 4th of April 2010 by His Royal Highness Mohammed bin Fahad Al Saud, the Governor of the Eastern Province.
