Jubail Technical
Institute (JTI) is a modern skill training facility built by the royal
commission in Jubail with the objective of training Saudi high school graduates
and preparing them to join as pioneering group of highly skilled technicians
needed in the continually growing industrial sectors of the kingdom
The aim of the facility is to offer a rigorous hands-on training ,
requiring the students to spend a major
portion of their time with machine and equipment in the workshop. This is
intended to create a new generation of skilled Saudi technicians who will meet
the challenges of bridging the gap between the availability of trained Saudi
workforce and the actual need. JTI is designed to have a student intake of 1500
students per year when it is fully grown. However,
this target will be achieved gradually over the years with an additional program
strategy.
Jubail Technical Institute (JTI) focus is quality assured intensive 'hands-on'
training. It has prepared sophisticated training program to match international
standards. Curricula have been developed and evaluated by peers in the
industrial sector. Workshops have been equipped with the latest devices and
equipment to ensure maximum exposure of the trainees to current trends in
technologies. JTI has also established bilateral ties with similar institutes in
the USA, UK and Canada to guarantee technical merits and accreditation of the
development program.
